Andersen Reunion

We planned our Andersen Reunion for fall break (October 15-16). City Connect Pass tickets were purchased during the summer when they were having a special deal, buy 1 day get the other free. It was quite the amazing race as we raced from one venue to the next to make use of our passes.

DAY 1
1. Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point.
2. Children's Garden Thanksgiving Point.
The kids loved the maze made out of hedges.
3. Living Planet Aquarium.
4. Lunch at the Lion House
This was the best. We had $10 each to spend on food which was half the cost of our pass.
5. Discovery Gateway
6. Clark Planetarium
We went and saw a 3D movie
Daryl always loves trying on the hats in gift shops.
DAY 2
1. Tracy Aviary
2. Feeding ducks at Liberty Park.
This wasn't part of the pass, but the kids have been begging to go to Liberty Park for such a long time, that we couldn't pass up the chance to feed the ducks after visiting Tracy Aviary. The kids are already talking about their next visit there.

3. Hogle Zoo
Everywhere we went these two days, there weren't too many crowds, but the zoo was packed. I don't think I have ever been there when it was so crowded.
The new baby elephant was the kids favorite part of the zoo. She was really cute and playful. Definitely a highlight of the visit.

4. This is the Place Deseret Village.
We only had an hour until closing when we got here. We rode the train around the park to get the highlights. Since it was October their season was over and the place was pretty dead with nothing open. We were glad we hadn't paid a full price ticket to come here. We will have to go back during their normal season.

5. Chuck-A-Rama
We ended the day with Dinner at Chuck-A-Rama to celebrate my dad's birthday. The kids love getting to choose whatever they want.

We had a great time going from place to place and not feeling like you had to stay someplace all day to get your money's worth. I definitely recommend getting the City Pass to check out all of the sights (and especially for the lunch at the Lion House).
