Last week Ashlyn was asked to give a talk. As soon as she came home she began busily writing. I think this is the first time that I haven't written a talk for one of my kids. It was a very exciting moment for me. Here is what she wrote all by herself:
I am thankful for Jesus because he brought all of us to earth. And a body so we can move. And that he died for us so we could live again after we die. I'm glad he gave us a family and brothers and sisters to! And I am thankful for my school so I can learn and read. And that we have nice teachers. And I am thankful for my family who teach me and care for me. And help me. And that the gave me clothes and food to eat! And a home. I am also thankful for land so we could walk and breath and so we can go to places and do fun stuff. In the name of Jesus Christ amen.

I just loved that little talk. She puts it so simple. She sure is growing up.
