Madisyn
1. Had a birthday and turned 11. No big party this year, but Grandma Glazier brought the cousins and they all played a very loud version of the candy bar game, and a game at our house we call kaboom.
2. Did a science fair project with Katelyn about crystals in geodes.
3. Got ears pierced. After many treks to the mall, and then chickening out, it finally happened. After watching her cousin Haylee get it done the week before, she decided she could finally go through with it. Haylee and Berkley came for moral support. I could see that Madisyn was having second thoughts before they got to the mall. Especially after listening to the 2-year-old screaming after getting hers done. It was also very crowded and the thought of someone bumping into piercing lady was a little scarey.
4. Madisyn played in rec basketball. None of the pictures I took of her turned out. They only won a few, but she had a fun time. One game she scored and was fouled and she was able to make the foul shot. That was pretty cool, especially when you are the shortest on the team.5. Madisyn participated in the 5th grade talent show. She played "When She Loved Me" from Toy Story 2.
Ashlyn
1. Participated in a puppet show about not smoking. She got to be one of the main characters. Fortunately she didn't follow in the footsteps of Madisyn who played the cigarette in the puppet show when she was in 3rd grade.
2. Had prairie day at school. After reading Little House on the Prairie as a class. They came to school dressed up as prairie children and the class was run as if it was the 1880's. She had fun, but said it was harsh. She was glad she didn't have to put her nose to the chalk board. I think she makes a great prairie girl.
3. Participated in the 3rd grade talent show. She made up a dance with her friend Brooklyn.4. Ashlyn turned 9. Very low key. Grandparents came and Grandma Glazier brought a few cousins. Explanation of the #8. We didn't have enough candles (she is getting too old) and so we had to do the #8 plus 1.

Tyler
1. Created a little restaurant with Ashlyn one Sunday afternoon. They served us all dessert and fruit. They did an awesome job of taking our orders and then cleaning the kitchen spic and span.

2. Participated in the 2nd grade talent show. He wanted to play the same Twinkle Twinkle Little Star he played last year and I was really fighting signing the permission slip for him. He said he would play while Nathan sang, so I consented since it was a little different. From each grade 4 talents are chosen to go onto the school wide talent show. Tyler and Nathan made it on. I felt a little guilty for not wanting to sign the permission form. He was so excited. It was really simple, but I think different since the two collaborated.
3. At the school wide talent show. He was very nervous in front of 800 people.
Ryan
1. Had a fun time learning all about fish at preschool.
2. Had to follow me to all of the talent shows. Noticed that there was a CD player and told me he could put Boys are Back in it and dance for everyone. I told him to practice for first grade.
3. Put on his own talent show in the back of the gymnasium during the all school talent show. Daryl decided he needs to teach him some dancing because his dancing resembles the Elaine dance on Seinfeld.
Daryl
1. In the little free time he has, he has been working on the fireplace. He just finished building the mantel. You would never know he was a novice, it looks pretty professional. Looking forward to having the fireplace finished just in time for summer!
2. Was an assistant coach for Madisyn's basketball team.
Amy
1. Went bowling with the family. Beat Daryl 142 to 76. Daryl refuses to bowl with me again. Considering joining a bowling league.
2. Won Daryl on a bet. Can't remember what it was even about now, but if I won we were going to go to the closest David Archuleta concert. A month ago it was going to be Idaho Falls. Tickets went on sale the end of January. I miraculously got VIP tickets (row 1-5) to a concert that sold out in 4 minutes. I must remember to buy Daryl some earplugs so his ears don't ring.
3. Heard about a Salt Lake Concert earlier this week and tickets going on sale Saturday. Figured I wouldn't go since I was already going to Idaho Falls. Received e-mail from ticketmaster Thursday morning saying there was a presale starting at 10 that day for American Express Cardholders. I already knew I didn't have the right card but at 10 I got onto ticketmaster just to check it out. They had 3 options. One was an internet presale that you just had to type in the right code. For fun I typed "Crush". Bingo, I cracked it! (Still can't figure out how I did that). I came up with row 4. I was wondering if I should get them, but I waited to long. I called Daryl and he said it was too bad I missed out because I could have sold them. I kept playing around, getting row 11 and 17 and then I tried it and got ROW 1! I called Daryl again. He told me to buy, so I could sell (if they didn't sell I could always use them). I could hear the dollar signs in his eyes ch-chinging though the phone. I purchased and then I received a call from my friend Lori. I told her what I just did. She so graciously offered to buy one of the tickets. Now I will be going to two concerts a week apart. When I told Daryl I sold one of the tickets I could see the money signs vanishing. I think he was a little sad. (In all reality I don't think I could have sold them for a profit. I think scalpers are so dispicable and I wouldn't want to be on of them). Later that day I received an email from the E-Center letting me know of a presale on tickets starting the next day. I was completely shocked on how I got them. Two days later (after Daryl mentioned he hadn't been able to use his card for the past few days) I realized that I had bought the tickets with a credit card that was supposed to be canceled 3 days earlier. Lori called them miracle tickets: typing in lucky code, Row 1, sold out show, and credit card that should have been canceled. I will take them, even if they are just a week apart.
