I'm finally back to update. We have been extra busy this past week. We finally got rid of the ugly carpet in one of our rooms that has plagued us for the past two years. Technically the room is supposed to be a dining room, but we decided that would be wasted space. In reality, how often would it actually be used as a dining room? NEVER!!! When we first moved in our intentions were to tile the room, but after a cold winter we lost the desire to do that. The next plan was to create the "office/library" room. So, for the past two weeks we have been designing and carrying out the plan. It is not quite complete, but complete enough that the carpet could be laid. Yeah! Daryl still needs to build the top portion of the bookshelves and then remove them for painting. We also need to paint the window seat and put the finish work on it. Hopefully we don't lose our momentum now that the carpet is in.
The design we are copying! Our columns will be wider though.

Some before pictures.

Daryl hard at work. He had to move the heater vent so we could build the window seat. We are so proud of him because he figured out how to do it all by himself. The picture was taken looking through the hole of the new heater down to the basement.

Work in progress.
With the carpet in. Now we just need to finish painting!

LOVE IT! Maybe it will motivate Devin to do some painting in my house. It's so fun to decorate, we'll have to come see the carpet!
Looks fun! just think in 9 more months we might have a home to do some remodeling to.
I was beginning to worry that your next post was going to be titled "the end" I'm glad that wasn't the case.
