Monday: Set up camp. Men went and played golf at Hobble Creek golf course while the women stayed back with the kids. The kids kept busy playing in the river and painting rocks.

Daryl rented a climbing wall and it was brought to us to play on from 4-6 pm.

For dinner we had grilled chicken and BBQ'd spare ribs, along with back potatoes and rolls. For dessert cobbler.
After dinner the kids played on the playground and the older kids/adults played soccer.
Once it got dark we sat around the fire while Grandma and Granpda Glazier told stories about their fathers. I thought that everyone enjoyed it, although everyone seems a little sad/bored/contemplative in these next pictures.

Tuesday: We headed to Seven Peaks where we spent the entire day. The kids had so much fun hanging out and riding the slides with their cousins. For dinner Daryl went and picked up Pizza and we ate back up at the pavilion. That evening a big game of capture the flag took place, along with skits, which ended up being really hilarious.
Wednesday: We packed up and headed home after breakfast. Since we went at the beginning of the week we pretty much had Jolley's Ranch to ourselves. We saw a few people, but overall it was nice and secluded for us.
After we got home Ashlyn left for Seven Peaks again because a friend ahd invited her to go. Fortunately we had an extra ticket from the day before. She came back completely exhausted. Daryl and Tyler headed to Yuba lake because the Scouts were boating. Tyler learned how to wakeboard and he thought that as pretty cool.
Thursday Tyler got up bright and early and headed to Camp Jeremiah for scout camp. This was his first year and loved every minute of it. The rest of us crashed this day and attempted to getcaught up on laundry.
Friday was my birthday. I met Daryl at the movie theater at 9 am and we saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I really liked it and I am looking forward to seeing it again. After the movie I headed to Olive Garden for a birthday lunch.
My friend Sandra shares a birthday with me and she decided to plan a lunch date. It was fun to see old friends again. I was Sandra's Visiting Teacher about 8 years ago. After discovering we had the same birthday we discovered we were born the same year! What a coincidence. From there we found out we had been born in the same hospital. What are the chances that our little beds were next to each other in the nursery? So I guess you can say Sandra and I go waaaaay back. Too make the story even more fascinating we found out a year ago that our dad's grew up in the same ward together. They had run unto each at a little reunion and were reminiscing about the day their first daughters were born and they ran into each other at the hospital. It sure makes the world feel a lot smaller. That evening the kids surprised me with balloons, games and presents. I felt bad because I had a hard time staying awake. The week had really worn me out.
Saturday was the wards annual Primary parade. The kids decorated their bikes and went around the neighborhood. We ended up at the church across from our house for a little brunch. Ashlyn had decorated a wagon with some of her friends.

Looks like you have been very busy this summer! I didn't know you and Sandra shared a birthday. That was fun to read about all the commonalities between you two! It is a small world!
