Soccer, soccer and more soccer. The month of September was spent either at soccer practice or soccer games. Ryan played this year on U-8. He told me how much he missed playing cub soccer. but he found he loved playing goalie and forward. He came home from school one day and told me that one of the boys from his team who is in second grade saw him at lunch and told Ryan he was the best goalie. It really made his day. He really did do well at goalie, although sometimes when he would get bored I would find him with his arms and legs tangled in the net. I was always worried he wouldn't be able to get untangled in time to save the ball, but he always did.

This was the only game I ever made it to for Tyler. Daryl was the coach and Tyler and Ryan's games always seemed to conflict. Tyler was all over the field this night. Daryl said it was probably because he had a cheering section. Tyler also enjoyed playing goalie and Daryl used him a lot.

Madisyn is getting better and better. She once again is playing at a competitive level. Last year we would always try and encourage her to try and make a goal, but she told us she was too scared. This year she has already made 3 (an In-and-Out strawberry shake might be the motivation) . In years past they were always the losing team, but this year they are one of the top. It's fun to see her progress.

The smile of a girl who just made a goal!

This little guy decided to turn 2 months old.
Daryl had a birthday. It was the same night as the ward FHE/Carnival. The kids like to say that Daryl had a party and the whole ward came. The Young Women did a kissing booth. (Really they just gave out candy kisses to those who completed the relay, but the bright pink lips are a nice effect)
Competing in the relay

We found this little present on our front porch. We tried killing him with bug killer, but he just didn't seem to want to die. We later found out we were actually using Round-Up. He eventually died, but it was a long slow process.
