After the kids got out their scrapbooks one day and we found Ryan had a whole two pages in his, I figured I better get to work. I decided to go the digital route since winkflash.com was having a special. It will be interesting to see how it will turn out in book format. I can't complain to much, since it only cost me $26 for 56 pages. Since I am cheap, I am now completely completely converted to digital (besides the school pictures and sports pictures I will get).

Wow, you have way more than two pages now! You are so talented at this stuff- it looks fabulous. I loved seeing all of your pages. How on earth did you remember so many details from so long ago??
Yes, I am also a total fan of digital scrapbooks. They are awesome! Check out blurb.com. My friend recently made a book for only $18 including s&h. one day I will get to it, too!
Hi Amy, I check out your blog once in a while through the Calls blog. I love the idea of doing a book. I've messed around with smilebox before but haven't seen anyway to make different pages on each picture. What is your secret? Are you paying for the premium service and that is where you found it??Thanks Karen Hansen
Hi Karen. I actually create the pages individually using Photoshop Elements, save them as a jpeg file and then upload them to winkflash.com as a single picture to put in a book. You do it the same way you would paper scrapping, except you use digital files. There are a lot of places where you can get free digital scrapbook files. My favorite place is shabbyprincess.com. Photoshop Elements (you can download a free 30-day trial from adobe.com to try it out)can be a little tricky when you are first learning to use it, but I used tutorials from different websites to help me through it. Some great websites with tutorials are shabbyprincess.com, scrapmatters.com (Stacy Hutchinson is on the design team there), twopeasinabucket.com and http://mistycatodesigns.blogspot.com/2007/05/index-of-tutorials.html
There is a lot more out there too. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
Thanks Amy I'll have to run out and buy the program. I'm so excited to start some special memories for my family. I might be bugging you again later. Karen
