2 Weeks in Review

The last part of July has kept us busy with many activities. On July 16th we went to Seven Peaks and met the Calls. We had to get our free passes they got for reading used up before they expired (July 17th). They had a great time. Even after 6 hours they wanted to keep going, but their mother was worn out, and very burned on one part of my back. Their favorite slides were the tubes. Ryan thought it was cool that he could go down by himself too.

Daryl was gone for most of that week at a Stake boys camp. No he is not in Young Men's, but he got put on the committee, which has kept him busy for several months. We are glad that it is over and that he has actually been around to mow the back yard.

On July 21st we met the Glazier family at Grandma Glazier's cousins so we could swim and eat pizza. The kids had a blast with their cousins.

On July 23rd we had the annual ward pioneer day parade. The kids decorated their bikes, threw candy to the parade watchers and then met us back at the church for a hot dog dinner.

On July 24th the Glazier family headed down our way for the Pioneer Day celebrations. I finally took advantage of one of the perks of being a city employee and reserved a pavilion up Hobble Creek Canyon. We BBQ'd, played in the river (gaining holes in a few swimsuits), roasted marshmallows and played keep away.

On Sunday Tyler got himself all ready for church and then did his own hair. People probably think we don't take care of him. (I did fix the buttons on his shirt that were buttoned wrong before we left so it it didn't look as neglected.) The next day he was sporting a mohawk. I missed pictures of that though.
