Family Fun Day!

On Saturday (July 12th) we went with my parents up to the Family Fun Day and Heritage Park. Madisyn had slept over at her friend Rachael's house the night before so we invited Rachael to come along with us to. We have gone in years past, but this is the first time it was held at Heritage Park. It was all free, which meant that it was also really crowded. When we first got there we walked over by the Radio Disney van. Madisyn did not want us to go over there. I think she thought that was too embarrassing. (Which I find a little funny because she can't get enough of listening to it when we are driving in the van). They started doing the Macarena and Ashlyn joined in. I thought I had taken video of this but I think I had the button turned off when I thought I was recording. My recording consists of listening to the Macarena with a black screen. Ashlyn does it so cute. She really has the wiggle down for it. Anyway, they put necklaces on certain kids during the dance and then at the end they got to participate in a game. The game was lassoing the radio Disney dancers holding prizes with a hula-hoop. They had some pretty good prizes, but Ashlyn was the last to do it and so she ended up with a "Krust-Buster". It's a little plastic tool that will cut the crust off of bread. (They have been putting it to good use). Other things we did there were ride the train, play games, play on the bounce toys, walk though some of the old buildings and take a pony ride. I also forgot about the free pizza and ice cream sandwiches!
