Day 6 we were back in Cairo. I think I would title this day "The Day in the Life of a Celebrity". I am sure that will be my only experience as a VIP. Whenever we toured in Egypt we had a body guard that would follow us around. (When visiting the Valley of the Kings in Luxor I complained to Daryl that I was trying to avoid the smokers, but as soon as I seemed to get away from this particular smoker I would turn around and he would be right there again. Daryl informed me that he was our body guard for the day. Whoops!) Anyway on this particular day I learned that the bodyguards carried guns with them. This bodyguard didn't feel the need to conceal his.
At the Citadel

We visited the Cairo Museum, but photographs were not allowed. I was awed by all of King Tut's treasures. Daryl had a hard time leaving the room with all of the hyposefilles (I butchered the spelling of this big time and I am probably even pronouncing it wrong, but it is the facsimiles from the Book of Abraham).
We drove the streets of congested downtown Cairo where painted white lines mean nothing. What looks like a three lane road turns into a five lane road as the cars are inches away from each other.

We saw lots of laundry hanging from balconies.
At at the end of the day we even caught the sunset on our last night in Cairo.
To end the day of touring we even managed to get in a bus accident. While trying to make a right turn the driver got the middle of the bus stuck on the curb. After a lot of scrapping here and there we made it off of the curb. The poor back door to the bus was completely mangled though and unusable. We felt so bad for the bus driver. And with the curb full of people standing on it, fortunately no one was hit.
